Amarillo® VGXP01 c.v. is an aroma variety of recent origin, introduced by Vigil Gamache Farms Inc. in Washington State. A vartiety charaterised by mid to high alpha and low cohumulone content. Its aroma is reported to be similar to Cascade. The name Amarillo® is of Spanish orgin and means “yellow”. It can offer key flavours including black tea, melon, apricot and grapefruit The BBC Pure Hop Pellet™ is produced using a finer, more uniform grind than standard Type 90 pellets. A sub-zero process – milling and sieving takes place at approx. -35°C (-31 °F) – to prevent hop resins and essential oils from oxidation. The resulting pellets offer a more more intense aroma and and flavour.
