Originally bred in the U.S. in 1956 as USDA 56013, it was later refined through New Zealand’s unique terroir, developing a distinct tropical fruit character. With a resinous, fruit-forward aroma, Taiheke® excels in Pale Ales, summer ales, and hop-forward styles. It performs well across multiple kettle additions, late hopping, or dry hopping, especially when paired with New Zealand varieties like Motueka or Riwaka.
