It helps to bring golden to red hues to beers - making it ideal for the likes of Amber Ales, Red Ales and Red IPAs - while its flavours of caramel, hints of toffee and a slight roastiness also ensure it can bring a little sweetness to darker beers like Dark Milds, Brown Ales and Porters.
