Chinook US BBC Pure Hop Pellets T90 (5kg)
Released in 1985 through a Washington breeding program, Chinook is a dual-purpose hop bred from an English Goldings variant and a high-alpha male. Originally prized for its bitterness, it has become popular for its herbal, almost smoky aroma with notes of tarragon, juniper, basil, and lavender. Balanced by citrus and sweet fruit flavors like grapefruit, orange, kiwi, and passion fruit, Chinook is a go-to choice for IPAs, pale ales, porters, and stouts.

Chinook was developed by the USDA breeding program in Washington State and released in
1985 as a high alpha variety. This cultivar takes its name from a Native American tribe
indigenous to the region around Washington. The variety grows vigorously in all areas and
offers robust aromas including red berries, fennel, basil, elderberry and lychee. The BBC Pure
Hop Pelletâ„¢ is produced using a finer, more uniform grind than standard Type 90 pellets. A
sub-zero process – milling and sieving takes place at approx. -35°C (-31 °F) – to prevent hop
resins and essential oils from oxidation. The resulting pellets offer a more intense aroma and
flavour.
