The hop cultivar Comet was bred as a high alpha variety for the states of Washington and Idaho. Nowadays this hop, which stands out due to its very large cones, is only grown on a small area. The BBC Pure Hop Pellet™ is produced using a finer, more uniform grind than standard Type 90 pellets. A sub-zero process – milling and sieving takes place at approx. -35° C (-31 °F) – to prevent hop resins and essential oils from oxidation. The resulting pellets offer a more intense aroma and flavour.

Comet US BBC Pellets T90 (5kg)
Originally bred as a high-alpha variety in the U.S. and released in 1961, Comet is now primarily grown in Germany's Hallertau region. It features bold aromas of lemon, passion fruit, and lemongrass, complemented by guava, elderflower, and quince, with a resinous finish. Ideal for IPAs, pale ales, and modern craft styles, Comet brings a unique fruity and floral complexity to any brew.
